Maryam Mohamadi, DDS
Dr. Maryam Mohamadi is a talented and compassionate general dentist whose journey in dentistry began in her home country of Iran. She later moved to Canada, where she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Saskatchewan. Driven by a passion for expanding her skills, she achieved her California board certification and relocated to San Luis Obispo to join the Seacove Dental team in 2025.
With extensive experience in a wide range of dental treatments, from fillings to root canal therapy on molars and complex surgical extractions. Dr. Mohamadi is skilled in delivering comprehensive care to patients of all ages. She finds great joy in designing beautiful and confident smiles. She also loves caring for children, earning a reputation for her gentle touch and warm.
Her approach to dentistry centers on creating a stress-free, comfortable environment where patients feel valued, heard, and at ease throughout their visit. Inspired by her father, a fellow dental professional, Dr. Mohamadi views dentistry as both an art and a calling.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Mohamadi enjoys hiking, traveling, and exploring the stunning natural landscapes and coastal beauty of California.
Koushan Azad, DMD
Koushan Azad, DMD, is an experienced dentist at CaliDental with locations in San Luis Obispo and Lompoc, California. He has over 20 years of experience practicing dentistry in the Midwest and on the East Coast. Dr. Azad, his wife, his two daughters and one son recently relocated to California from Chicago.
After receiving training in mining engineering, Dr. Azad shifted his career focus to dentistry because of his desire to improve oral health in small communities and his passion for patient-doctor interactions. He earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering, followed by a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the prestigious Université de Montreal, Canada. He uses evidence-based practices to provide the highest level of patient care possible and maintains his advanced credentials with continuing education.
Dr. Azad uses open and effective communication with patients and health care providers. Patients suffering from gum disease, tooth decay, and loose or missing teeth can turn to Dr. Azad for premium care. He offers fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, dental implants, teeth whitening, veneers, and more to restore patients’ beautiful smiles in a warm, welcoming environment.
When he’s not at the office, Dr. Azad enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, and riding dirt bikes. He’s honored to be a part of the CaliDental team, welcomes new patients to the practice, and looks forward to serving them.
